Hawkes Bay Seafoods

Customer Service is alive & well in Napier
Recently ordered fish & chips with oysters at Hawkes Bay Seafoods in Napier –when it arrived it was truly awful - undercooked and greasy, with the oysters just soft lumps of uncooked batter. I complained about the quality of the food, and was told “that’s the way we cook it in New Zealand – if you don’t like it you can go somewhere else”.

Perhaps my Canadian accent, still present after living here for 25 years, led the woman at the counter to believe she didn’t have to take my complaint seriously – great advertisement for New Zealand in a World Cup Year!
