Went for lunch with two friends on Tuesday 19th July. Our hot drinks arrived first after nearly 10 minutes and we had finished them by the time the food arrived. The 2 slices of quiche arrived together followed by the filo savory a few minutes later. This had not even been heated. There was no garnish on the plates so the wait was a mystery. We ordered another two coffees and I was given an ordinary latte instead of the chai tea latte that was ordered. The staff were not coping and it was a very unpleasant experience for my 2 friends who were visiting for the first and last time.
I had a similar experience last year with my husband. I shall never return there again for a very long time. There are too many really good cafes in the area that are doing a really good job.

What is your problem? The best taste sensations in Albany! The coffee and food is worth waiting for. A busy cafe is a thriving cafe.

I am a chef in Albany and on my days off I check out all the other cafes around, O'Bite Me is one of the best, for price and quality, I feel I have to say something, as so may people not knowing the pressure in our industry slag off too readily, over the last few months I have gotten to know the owners of O'Bite Me, they work tirelessly, on training the staff, but as any plonker with a brain would know there is a massive shortage of staff in the catering industry in New Zealand ( pick up the Herald), they are much better off in Aus, so spare a thought before you go venting your spleen. ask anyone in this industry what pressure is while you are sipping your latte, maybe that's why so many Cafes and Restaurants close their doors within the year. By the way even were I work they don't make their own cakes O'Bite Me does........ they make the lot.

I have been going regularly to O'Bite Me since they opened and thoroughly enjoy going there. My children are fussy eaters but they both agree O'Bite Me makes the best scrambled eggs, and CAKES.

im with you 100% tocastan. been twice. simply awful both times and will never go back. waited ages for average food, luke warm coffee and the worst mochachinos my kids have ever (not) drunk. there are indeed way too many good cafes in albany - spuntino, altura and pickles to name just three leaving oh bite me toothless by comparison.

Why on earth would you go back? what a great Mother you are sleep apnea plays havoc with your mood, and I am quite sure you would be a sufferer, why else would you a mother with all the additives out there already, submit the fruit of her loins to ( correct spelling, because yours is lacking) Mochaccino which has a shot of espresso plus chocolate, maybe Rocky a good nights sleep would find you in better humour and give us all a break, I feel you are quite gutless also, did you complain? or did you just find this forum to whine,there there dear Santa will be here soon and maybe a few sleeping pills.
