Coming here ruined the Saturday evening for our party of four. The food was bland and service no better.

We had to go and hunt for knives and forks for two of our main meals. My friend forced down one of his Cannelonnis' but couldn't stomach the second one, as the pasta was hard. My wife got a tiny slither of salmon on her salmon pasta dish. My chicken livers were tastless and Ginos pizza dry and "elasticky". The other member of our party was quite kind, saying she had tasted better squid for half the price.

Maybe they need a bigger kitchen and more chefs, as the kitchen is smaller than mine at home.

My mother and I went to Portofino a few years ago for mother's day. It was very busy - so busy that the waiters could barely move between the tables. The food was so salty that my mother (who loves salt) couldn't even finish hers. I was disappointed and as a result have not been back. I went to Portofino as a friend had raved about the Parnell Portofino. Although she said later she had only ever tried the steak.

We went to a "going away" party here for a work-mate.
This place is terrible!
The prices are high, and yet the food is bland, uninventive, and dull.
The menu suggests moderately interesting food (average italian), but the food that arrived was the worst Italian I have had.
Stay home and make dolmio and diamond pasta yourself.

Service was terrible, and the view of a large angry italian (possibly the owner or manager) yelling at the staff, and gesticulating aggressively while downing large amounts of wine was another put off to an almost ruined evening.

Avoid this restaurant like the plague.
