hi, my name is ness and i had the worst experience at dennys on hobson last night. will never go there again. not only is the car park an issue but the food was cold and the service was crap. to cut a long story short i will never go there again and i WASTED $40 on a meal that was yuck. and that i will be complaining to the head office.hehe.the best part of the visit was walking out to leave the damn restaurant.new lynn is heaps better.

I have to agree, after just being there tonight.

Rang up last night to ask about parking, and when asked which road had the entrance, was told "There is no road"... ok.... Went to have look, and there is not only a road outside the restaurant, but the parking area is a named lane on the map!

Thought we would give them a try regardless, service was ok at the start, but the food was awful. Tough and chewy fish. The cajun fish we have had at Manukau Denny's was sublime, Central's had no taste or flavour at all. My son's kids meal was tough and chewy, and my fish was smilar to the cajun, tasteless and chewy, like it had been reheated or microwaved.

Also, asked for a carraffe of water, and got a old stained plastic jug. Come on guys! You call yourself a restaurant and charge restaurant prices!

Finally, no-one even asked us if we liked the meal (maybe they knew the answer) and no-one explained how we were to get back inot the locked carpark. Before we left, I had to ask, which was just as well, as the sign by the buttons to let us in was old and part of the istructions were cracked and missing.

I felt like this place was from some hick town in southern USA with 25 residents, not Central Auckland in 2006...

We will not be going back and will also be complaining to management.

Since joining this site I was surprised to find so much negative feedback for a restaurant I dine at regularly I have found the city and new lynn restaurants to be fantastic no complaints. I guess you have to try the restaurants and form your own opinion as it may be the case that some people are just wanting more than is on offer. Just thought I would add this comment cheers
