Last night, Mr Blair and his wife Cherie celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in style at one of Auckland's best known restaurants.

The couple, along with a group of their staff and a few members of the British High Commission, dined at Sails restaurant.

Owner Bart Littlejohn says they began with an entree of fresh bluff oysters, scallops and prawns. Mr Littlejohn says Mrs Blair had lamb for her main course while Tony Blair had fish and chips.

He says they were instructed to treat the group like any other customers and not to make a big deal about their wedding anniversary.

Great food, great views.
Don't expect much from the service though. Looking around, there was not one happy wait staff, and the quality of service was some of the worst I have experienced - and this was supposed to be a 'high end' restaurant. Save your money and go elsewhere.
