Excellent place to dine, I really enjoyed my meal there. Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Good prices, couldnt even finish my whole meal it was so big. Will definately be dining there again. Recommendded 110%

Wow, I have to admit the first time I went to steakshed I was very impressed the second and last time was quite the opposite. We ordered our meals and you have the choice of either jacket potato and veges or chips and salad to go with your meal. I ordered the potato, my Partner ordered the chips. First the chips come out and then about 40 minutes later the meals came to our table but they werent our meals, I told the waitress and she apologised and offered a free beer. Then our meals did come out, about another 30 minutes later and chips were very cold by then and they werent as big as the first time. After we had eaten I quickly paid the bill as I had expected to have a quick meal and get home not wait around for a couple of hours just for 2 steak meals. Anyway when I got home they had charged me something like $5 for the chips that were meant to be part of the meal. Not impressed with this place anymore

I have travelled extensively around New Zealand and further a field, and as far as steak restaurants go, The Steak Shed in Blenheim is about as good as they get! The service was excellent, the meal was more than adaquate and the atmosphere was great... I will definitley be returning. 11 out of 10
