Well what can I say?! Simply scrumptious. Bayleys Beach was a great little find and this place was a treasure. This why I love NZ...you can find even in the smallest town, fabulous food along with a lovely dining atmosphere. The staff were friendly and prompt. We felt like we were sitting in someones house it was that cosy! I had the lamb and it was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth, my partner had the Fish of the day which was also devine with generous servings for the both of us. Couldn't fault anything. Thanks for a beautiful evening.

Been going to Funky Fish for the last 8 years when we pass through for our annual camping trip. Up to 2008 food etc was excellent, last year it was pretty poor and this week it was absolutely disgusting. Had the veryu expensive fish special - Dory steamed on Kumara- and it was drowning in water. Other 3 meals in the party were disgusting, as was the service. We normally stop in on the way back with a big party of 15, but this year we went somewhere else. Will nevver go to Funky Fish cafe again - sadly it used to be funky but now it is a poor takeaway type cafe,
