Default Japanese Dim Sum/Steamboat

Took a few homesick Japanese homestays here for dinner and they loved it! Very popular with the young asian kids who gather here to catch up and hook up! The setting is similar to the square bar layout in the American sitomcom "Cheers" with barstools surronding it. It'slike sitting at your kitchen bench so you are quite relaxed perched on your chair. The little lady will hand you a menu pad which you then select/circle the raw incredients for your hot pot ranging from meats seafoods, root veges, noodles.tofu etc. A small cooker and hot pot with ladle is placed in front of the individual with a broth slowly heating up. A plate of raw incredients you have ordered is then brought to you to cook along with eatig bowls and cutlery! You are the cook so the blame falls squarely on you if it tastes horrible! Dining at Shabu Shabu is great fun and would strongly recommend during the winter nites! Still great fun no matter what season and resonably priced! I think it's more suited to the younger generation than the X gens or baby boomers!
Although this place is Japanese the place is run by chinese who do a great job in making it authentic
