Could this be due scrapers taking my entire pages and Google can not tell who the owner is? this seems to be the case as the scrapers rank higher than I do on my content and so do proxy sites that Google has been indexing.

They dont like automatic links, they know that they exist. The link gather business is not an easy one to figure out.
