we dined here last weekend, we chanced it on saturday night with the baby who had fallen asleep in her pram!
The food was LOVELY, my Husband was very pleased with his mussels with mango entree, extremely good value. I had the butterfly chicken which was lovely too.
A bottle of their house turkish wine went beautifully with our food. The baby woke halfway through dinner and had her own bowl of wedges which she loved.
Staff were accommodating, if rather inclined to chat rather than work
It was clean, prompt and not too noisy. Will definitely go back net time we go to visit the gardens

An international meal of contrasts.

While the food was delicious, the service started off great and went down hill.

The guys in our group ordered the so termed 'banquet'...it turned out that this was a pushed experience..in which the waitresses were continually trying to push the guys on to the next course, even though they were not asking for excessive amounts and wished to eat more. To further accentuate this tainted experience..the wait between the dishes ordered by them was at least 45 minutes...and then when they asked for dessert the comment was made...'we'll have to make sure the kitchen isn't closed'!! Not what we expected from the banquet.

The meals we received was really tasty..except for the nougat (which tasted quite like no other nougat we've tasted before and hope not to taste again) and didn't come with the promised turkish delight...which had run out...ofcourse we were not told this until after it came out and we asked.

While we can appreciate that restaurants get busy, it would have been nice for the waitresses to say this (if they felt stretched) and most of our negative feelings towards sahara tent could have been avoided. A pity considering the food is so good.

Worst dining experience in a long time. Upstairs room smelled musty, lock broken on toilet. Service was poor, no explanation of fixed menu and when we commented at the end of the night that there was not enough food we were told that it was all you could eat. This was never explained earlier. When we continued to complain we were asked to leave and told no one else had ever complained.
