Hi, we went to the restaurant a couple of weeks ago they had just changed their menu .. there was 4 of us and we had been told that the food was really nice but the decor was quite plain - concrete floor etc .. but I really liked the decor! It was quite simple but with nice artwork and the turtles gave us something to look at!
The service by the lady there was great, even when it got busier she was always on hand to help ..
The food was delicious, we had the breads/calamari to start with and the steak and chicken all cooked really well and very tasty .. we were all full up!
Maybe a little on the pricey side for Maraetai but we would return..

We went to 2T&GF last Friday. Two of us had the special, Hapuka, smoked on site, one had lamb and I had the pork chop which was thick, juicy and served with german-style potatos and cabbage. The service was friendly, the meals came promptly, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere (including the decor) was warm and friendly.

(Mains were mostly in the $25-30 range)
