So in I went for a coffee shop experience...Not happy Jan!
The coffee was burnt and bitter, the food portions in the sweet cabinet were amazingly overpriced for the miniscule serving size, the service was slow as a wet week - They've been open long enough now, it should have been better than this.

Two things saved them from complete awfulness - the standard muffins are nice (warmed and served with butter - kudos for this) and the fluffy bought for a 2 year old was exceptionally cute with a chocolate syrup smiley face.

It looks pretty, but don't let the name suck you in - try an independant.

I'll revisit once a month and will report back if it gets any better. (I hate giving such bad reviews!)

I have been back to robert harris a fair bit this year, as service improved, as did the coffee....

Until 5 friends and I were told we were too big a group and they had no room for us.
Righto. Won't be back again.

New owners of this cafe a couple of months ago.
Friendly, enthusiastic staff and great coffee.
Some interesting new lunch offerings.
Had a delicious Lamb and haloumi salad with dukkah dressing that was fresh, tasty and the duhhah dressing left a lovely aftertaste that stayed with me into the afternoon.
My friend had a turkey, avocado and bacon grilled foccacia sandwich which came with a fruit salad. She said it was a lovely combination.
We finished by sharing a slice of the best pumpkin pie I have ever eaten.
