Don't bother!

Firstly, as we arrived we passed our bottle of wine over to the waiter for them to open as you usually would. When it hadn't returned to the table for quite a while asked where it had got to. It was prompty produced - chilled?!? Strange thing to do with a bottle of RED wine and it certainly didn't improve its flavour. Those drinking poured it and then waited until it returned to room temperature to enjoy it.

In addition, the menu described food poorly so it was difficult to order and then when the meals arrived they weren't what we expected ed: cajun chicken salad on the menu was warm chicken with caeser salad dressing also warmed. When we mentioned this as we paid we were told that the salad was cold at lunchtime and warm in the evenings - of course!! we should have guessed!!

In addition, after we paid and were presented with the receipt we noticed a miscellaneous charge of $14. When we queried what it was for they told us corkage - $2 per head - the strange thing was that of the table of 7 only 3 drunk wine (three wine glasses) while the other four purchased around $10 each of juices and softdrinks. When we pointed this out they refused to refund our money and begun to rudely ignore us.

We definately won't be returning and I would advise others to think carefully before they choose to dine at Aga in Mission Bay.

I have heard of a couple of restaurants recently that have charged corkage for non drinking people. And then in your case, no acceptance that they had charged wrong.

I think this is highly insulting and profiteering of the restaurant. I mean, there should be a max that the restaurant charges based on reasonableness number of glasses/ bottles - and when it is uncertain, they should ask rather than make such a charge without negotiation.
