This was my third vist to this newly opened cafe. I had gone on the excited reccommnedations of a friend. She was right about the fittings - they are spectacular - but the service is somewhat less exciting.

My first two visits were on my own. The third was with my husband and I was really hoping that the 'feel' of this great space would come alive - along with the food.

Perhaps it's early days - but there seems to be a nervous edginess with all the staff which doesn't lend one to feeling relaxed. There was also a lack of cafe music - which is sometimes a welcome respite but in this case just made everything seem harder edged that it should have been.

Good food and large portions (perhaps too big!)

I would love for this to be a great local favourite - with loads of fun and an atmosphere which reflects a joy life, this lovley village and food!

Walked in to ironique around 2:00 this afternoon for lunch ordered a beer, a soylatte and a brunch and a lunch. 3 pm still no lunch and no indication from any staff about it. was asked only once if we need anything else and we reminded them that we were waiting for lunch that was ordered at 2:00. we were promsied lunch in 5 minutes at around 3:00. nothing turned up and i walked to the manager and asked him for a refund. As i wasnt the only customer who was waiting for more than an hour others who complained and fussed about it were given free drinks. while waiting for my refund. the lunch arrives at 3 :15 and when the manger saw that it had arrived he told the lady with the lunch to throw it in the garbage. I still didnt get the refund till after this was said to the waiter. Dont think the person in charge has any customer service experience and will never dine there again.
