If you like your fish deep fried with a crispy batter, then look no further! Order the $6.50 "menu A" which gets you 2 fish, 2 potato fritters and a scoop of chips! Menu B is kinda double of menu A except with won tons instead of fritters
The store was originally owned by Yugoslavians who sold fresh fish in the window until the 80's (Back then it was the Harris Rd Takeaways). My theory is they have passed on their batter recipe to the chinese who run it as the fish is just like I remember it when I was a kid!
I know people who trek from G.I, Pakuranga and One Tree Hill to collect their orders as the fish is that good! Some Fri Sat nites there is enough people waiting for their orders you'd think there was a Lotto machine in there?
I've had the chinese here b4 but it's mediocre. If you talk to the patrons it's all about the fish which is freshly battered just like the fish chips of y'day or chippies on the coastline outside of auckland
