After a very long drive decided to stop here for lunch. Noted that the chalk-board outside said that the lonely planet thought they were pretty good - not sure what year that was... Choice on menu was great and pretty well priced. Made the mistake of going to the bathroom before eating. Had to go through a pretty dark, messy, and unappealing kitchen to a pretty dodgy looking toilet, broken seat and dirty. Kind of put me off eating there. Ordered a salmon and cream cheese bagel which was slapped together and sliding around the plate the waitress brought out, and a cup of tea in a coffe stained cup. Friend went up to get a piece of cake, asked for the piece without the fly on, and then the fly jumped to the other piece so she left it. The food tasted okay, it just wasn't really a good dining experience, didn't feel like the food was made with care. Wouldn't take much at all to make this place a lot better - fix the bathroom, make the kitchen look healthier if you have to go through it to get the toilet, put a cover on the back of the cake stands, and make the food look more inviting.
