My girlfriend and I have visited The Malthouse on a number of occasions, and have always enjoyed our meal. The staff are friendly, and the service is pretty fast.

We have only eaten in the restaurant section, as opposed to having a light meal at the tables near the bar (with the big screen TV)

The Malthouse pride themselves on their traditional woodfired pizza oven, and quite rightly they should - the pizzas are delicious. There are heaps of different varieties, and should you not be able to decide what flavour is the best, they offer a half and half topping. Usually after a garlic bread starter, and the pizza I am too full for dessert, so I don't know what they're like.

T2D - Note: Entertainment Card is accepted - see following Owners post [My only gripe with the restaurant is that they no longer accept the vouchers from the Entertainment Guide. In their defence, they do have a tiny sign behind the counter - but it would have been nice to be informed before we had ordered.]

The Malthouse Restaurant and Bar in Greenhithe is sure to make an impression in all the right ways, with its winning combination of delicious food and top class entertainment, served up in a warm, family friendly environment.

Owners Mike and Michelle Conner took over The Malthouse last October and have transformed this Greenhithe Restaurant into a local favourite which the whole family can enjoy.

Mondays and Tuesdays are special family nights at The Malthouse - for every main a parent buys, the family receives one kids meal free!

And there is plenty to tempt the taste buds on The Malthouse's new winter menu. Try the tasty steak and guinness pie - chunky beef and guinness hot pot with vegetables finished in a flaky pastry garnished with long fries and salad leaf, or the apricot chicken - apricot, thyme and cream cheese stuffing, with baby leaf salad with citrus dressing served with potato mash.

Genuine wood-fired gourmet pizzas are a popular choice and are also available to take away and over with 20 different varieties there is sure to be something to suit every palate.

The Malthouse has also introduced a gourmet brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.30am. Another new addition is the Principals Menu which caters especially for seniors offering set menus for lunch and dinner for groups of five or more.

The Malthouse have a great line-up of entertainment over the coming months, which you can enjoy over a meal or a quiet drink in front of the open fire.

Every second Wednesday there is a quiz night which provides for plenty of laughs, while karaoke and live entertainment feature every second Thursday. For pool lovers there is a competition every Thursday with great prizes up for grabs.

Live entertainment includes jazz by Maria O Flaherty on June 9 and June 26, while the Bourbon Country Brothers will perform their mix of country rock music on June 30.

Book now for Steve Larkins who is currently on tour in the UK who will perform as Freddie Mercury in conjunction with Suzanne Lynch on August 6.

As part of The Malthouse's dedication to excellent customer service they also provide a free wireless internet connection for laptops - a service greatly appreciated by business people. Another welcome addition is a special children's area outside which comes complete with a play hut, so your children can play while you dine al fresco on the large deck.

I had my 19th Birthday at The Malthouse and it was great. I'm a local but most of my friends hadn't been there before.
There was plenty to entertain them including karaoke, (which was a great laugh!) pokies, pool table and rugby on the telly.
The staff are friendly and the food is very good. The Malthouse is a great place to go to for a work function, party, family meal or just a drink at the bar.

Excellent news! I'm glad you re-instated the Entertainment Vouchers when you took over. They really are an excellent way to get out and try some new places, or return to an old favourite for a well priced meal.

It must've been before October 2004 when we last visited, I can't believe it was that long ago! We'll definitely have to come again soon!
