Default Movie and a Meal in a mature part of North Shore

Now you can judge the Sausalito as just the cafe, or as part of an experience. We are judging the experience....

Located in the same building as the Bridgeway an outstandingly intimate bouquet cinema, the decor could be described as postwar-ish, wooden tables complete with those horrible (but given the era - eminently suitable) twisted glass and stainless sugar dispensers.
And so, off we went to the 11:00 screening of the excellent "De-Lovely" with coffee to go. After the movie finished we were short of time but just could not resist having lunch. Leah had the roast vege tower and I had the Caeser salad both with addition of garlic and rock salt breads. When we had finished our meal and really short of time, our waitress convinced us to have coffee anyway - so we did!!
Friendly staff and crisp service with no delays. We were late home but didn't care.
If you have never ventured to Northcote Point, do so. It is well worth the trip and there is nothing like being mesmerised by the wood burning pizza oven.
