My wife and I spent a night at Paihia Beach Resort and enjoyed dinner and breakfast at Pure Tastes. The food for dinner was FANTASTIC - I honestly don't think that the food could have been better - starters through dessert and coffee, including matched wines. The service let them down a bit, for some reason quality restaurants seem to think that their staff need to be aloof and refrain from making their guests feel comfortable. This did improve once we got our waiter to 'loosen-up' a little. I would definitely recommend Pure Tastes but they do need to work on the 'service' to customers.
