Must admit that the thought of eating dinner in a large shopping mall didn't tickle my fancy, however our dining experience recently at O'Carroll's Irish Pub at Northlands Mall, Papanui was terrific!

Looks like an authentic little Irish bar and the upstairs dining is great and the food is reasonably priced and very hearty! Meal sizes are generous, a friend had the pasta and it was a very huge plate of pasta to say the least! My partner had one of their gourmet pies which are huge and look like 'hotpot' homemade pies loaded with goodies.

Service was good and the place was pretty busy for a Friday night with lots of families and groups dining out before going next door to the movie theatre.
