Lemon Squeeze is definitely not the most hip cafe in Petone. In fact it is decidedly lacking in ambiance and character. However, the quality of the food and beverages more than make up for any failings in respect of the rather dull atmosphere within the building. The food is faultless. Prepared in an immaculate kitchen, which you pass through in order to use the equally immaculate bathroom, this shop would be a health inspector's dream. I eat here regularly, and always enjoy a large "bowl latte" which is prepared to perfection every time. The cafe is run by a Chinese gentleman and he has a rather limited repertoire of Engrish. However, communication is adequate and it's a dining experience you MUST indulge in if ever you visit Petone. I cannot commend this cafe highly enough. It is an absolute gem!
