Mutiara has delicious food and exceptional service. The owner and waitresses are very friendly and helpful. This is a great alternative to the usual Thai or Indian! Being pregnant, knowing it was an 'A grade' food rating really helped. The only difficultly I had was again, being very pregnant I found the timber seats became a bit uncomfortable after time, so could have done with a cushion. I would definately eat there again, a lovely intimate restaurant - and bonus 10% discount when booking through time2dine!

My husband and I love Mutiara. Its been our fav restuarant for 8 years. We go there on all special occations and the food and service is the best every time. The owner/head chef is like a friend and always comes out from his forever busy kitchen to have a chat. Tho it is a small restuarant, it is the best one in Auckland!

After reading the reviews on this website last week my partner and I decided to try this restaurant and the reviewers were right, the food and service is great. Will be making it one of our regular haunts.

Mutiara is fantastic
I wouldnt know what to say as my number one love of the place.

I was introduced to this place by a colleague in 2006 and now since gone back numerous times.
The service is 1st class, the staff always have a smile and genuinely happy to great you on arrival. You are their number one priority at all time no matter how busy mutiara happens to be at the time.
after my 3rd visit I was asked my name and since never been forgotten!!!
after a break of being away from the area for over six months I went back in for dinner the other night, I was greeted by name and told I had been missed over the previous 6 months.
Roy unfortunately was very busy and could not come out of the kitchen to say hello but asked for me to pop my head in so he could say hello before I left.
Now the food can only be described as perfect!
I have taken Malay friends in with me in the past who have only been impressed with eating what they describe as their own mothers cooking so far from home.
Good portions excellent flavours fantastic suggestions when you are not sure what to have (though now I have eaten pretty much everything on the menu)
Guys keep up the excellent work I love coming back and will be back many more times.
