Default Go to Denny's

Just been to this restaurant (Sunday night). Arrived just after 6.30pm... entrees arrived fairly quickly but the mains... well, we were on the verge of walking out at 8.30pm when they started turning up... about an hour and a half from the entree to mains. My honey chicken was pretty average, pretty much what you would find at Dennys...the vegetables were below average (compared to Dennys, these were miserable) and the fries were those skinny things that McDonalds would use, although I would prefer McDonalds fries to the ones I had tonight.
There were 2 large groups in which may have been a cause of the late arrival of our dinners, however no-one bothered to come and ask if we wanted dessert so we paid and left without any (costing the business another $40.00).
The waitresses were friendly and polite but weren't really on the ball that much.
As much as Dennys is described as a fast food restaurant, I would have much preferred going there tonight... sorry Maggies, you just didn't do it for me.

Default Very Disappointing

My Fiancee & I decided to take all our kids to this restaurant tonight (got there at 8:15pm) as we have had descent experiences in the past couple of times we've been there. In our family we have 3 boys aged 5, 8, & 10 & two girls aged 14 & 16. We all ordered at the same time (it took the waitress 20min to take our orders) but even though they realised we had young kids, they took a long time to bring the meals out. Our 5 year old son fell asleep at the table waiting, and after about 45 min. the meals finally came out. It was at this point we realised our eldest daughter didn't get her meal (rack of lamb). We waited 10 minutes while everybody else ate their meal and then went up to the counter to enquire where it was.
The waitress went to check and came back to advise us that they had overlooked the order and would put it on straight away. This wasn't very good considering all our other kids had all but eaten their meals and we were told that it would be another 15 minutes before it would be ready. We waited for another 20 minutes and I went up to ask what was going on as it still hadn't turned up.
I was getting fairly irate at this time and she assured me it would be ready 'soon'. After another 10 minutes or so of waiting we asked our daughter if she still wanted to wait or just have McDonalds on the way home and she said she was tired and didn't want to wait any longer.
I went up to the Lady at the bar and said we wouldn't wait any longer as we had very tired kids and that it was very disappointing they stuffed up so badly.
Whether it was the large group of diners they had in there already, or the fact that the waitresses seemed like they didn't want to even be there as they were yawning all the time I'm not sure. But it was a very bad dining experience for us.
I would recommend the owners look at employing more enthusiastic and attentive staff, or they look at reducing the number of tables they have in the restaurant for their current staff to wait on,as they don't seem to be able to handle what they have.
And to top it all off, we never even got an offer of a meal for free or a discount or anything for all the stuffing around we had to put up with, just an apology which didn't cut it in my opinion.
