I just came back to Q'town after a long stint in Oz and I was missing my Sushi Trains awfully. But a kind soul led me to Minami. The service was unusually lax but I couldn't have cared less when the most flavoursome green tea was served and I have never had such good green tea! A good sign I think. The sushi was perfect and I am so happy that now I can have great sushi whenever I feel the need. Queenstown is on a sushi band wagon and the vast majority is plain awful so thank you Minami for proving otherwise.

I love minami. My good friend and I always go there and drink far too much sake and have a good old chin wag!! The service is just right, not overly attentive but still very prompt and formal. The food is fantastically fresh and tasty, which can be hard for restaurants in Queenstown.

I had take-away Sushi and some venison from Minami, and the quality was superb. I'm fussy about the quality of my food, particularly sushi, and it was almost the absolute highest quality. The staff also seem friendly & professional.
