fab little place if you can find it. only six tables in the restaurant!! makes it very hard to get in!! but when you do it is definately worth it. the staff are extremely attentive and knowledgeable. i love the james bond photos, the red leather couch and the roaring fire.
i food was lovely, but i have to admit that for the price i was paying i was expecting it to be a bit more imaginative. great little place

I ate here years ago and loved it, i thought i would give it another go and am pleased to say that its still as good as ever. I had the beef and my partner the lamb, both were lovely and cooked just right.
The waiters helped us choice a wine to match the meal, a local pinot, and they did a great job.
The toilets and 'pool room' were kind of quirky and gave the place a funky chicago-type of feel.
We shared a desert and it was a lovely way to end a lovely meal. Some of the other diners went to the bar attached to the same facility, but we didn't.

I'll be back in y favorite NZ city again soon and we'll be back again. 5 stars.
