Within the cpanel for your host, you will be able to set up a cron job Within the control panel of your vbulletin you are able to set up cron jobs. However, the length of the url permitted is not very long. I will be releasing another version in the next day that will be able to run on the vbulletin scheduled tasks system. |

Does anyone know how I fix the below warnings, and if in fact it is necessary to fix? My xml file looks fine however. Also, is it dangerous leaving http://www.mydomain.com/vbsitemap-multi.php as access 777 after I use this file? Warning: chmod(): Operation not permitted in /home/httpd/html/mydomain/vbsitemap-multi.php on line 180 Warning: gzopen(sitemap0.xml.gz): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/httpd/html/mydomain/vbsitemap-xtrafile.php on line 64 Warning: chmod(): No such file or directory in /home/httpd/html/mydomain/vbsitemap-xtrafile.php on line 67 Warning: gzwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/httpd/html/mydomain/vbsitemap-xtrafile.php on line 71 Warning: chmod(): Operation not permitted in /home/httpd/html/mydomain/vbsitemap-multi.php on line 254 Please manually add the site map index file to your Google account. |

Hi All. You will be pleased to know that I have been working hard and have now released a new version 2.2 of the totally rewritten vBulletin Google Site Map - vBGSiteMap. Details can be found on vBGSiteMap. There is a small purchase price, but at $USD29.95, it is a small amount to pay, in the least a thanks for the SEO work I have highlighted and written about on this forum. One of the larger installs has over 200,000 url's in the sitemap. It was actually quite an interesting exercise personally installing on a number of servers around the globe for my vBulletin SEO clients. Dealing with old mysql versions, running out of memory with the vbseo hookup. Now all issues nicely resolved and its working sweet. |
