Hi, We are in the 15 position for a keyword having nearly 96,200,000 competiting sites in Google. This is the for our company home site. We have been asked to go online search for that particular keyword and click it at least 5 times a day. This has to be done by all the members in office. The idea is that the more the number of clicks a day our popularity will increase. Is this correct. If all at our office say 25 members clicks 125 clicks will it really increase the popularity. Your suggestions please. |

If it was possible to improve rankings by clicking on links, then you could get automated robots to do the work. Sorry, getting people to click on results like that is not likely to increase SERP's/rankings on Google at all. While times clicked on a Google result and how long people have stayed... have been mentioned in a Google patent, the weighting for such a thing is very low if at all. You would get far more benefit if those same employees found a place they could add an external link into the website. |

Besides, the search results would almost never change if based on popularity. However, if you want to affect your Alexa ranking, try this. First check your Alexa ranking now. Note the number. Have everyone in the office install the Alexa toolbar. Be sure everyone in the office visits your website at least once a day with the Alexa toolbar installed. Watch your Alexa ranking climb fast. Unfortunately, this doesn't lead to more traffic or search engine rankings. The best way to do that is to get more backlinks (people linking to your webpages). |
