Hello there! I am a web developer and recently my boss asked me the following:

Since we submit an optimized site what is going on with spiders, and that is how often do they spiders pass from my site, do we have to resubmit the site to engines and directories, will the spiders pass forever and if that happens should i refresh the site's content?

Could anyone help me?

You don't need to resubmit, just get links from other websites, and it all looks after itself. You don't need to keep changing content. New links is another way of keeping content "fresh".

But there are constantly new search phrases relevant to your business, so new pages focussing on that latest buzz phrase means you have the potential of getting that traffic.

Using an xml sitemap means you tell the search engines about your new pages possibly earlier than if they were to spider your site.

As far as the common rule is you need to resubmit your optimized site to the particular directory where it was originally submitted for relocation only when you change your internet protocol address.Other wise there isn't any need to panic.
