Hi, do you know if it is possible to make your own variables in vbulletin? I have made a different child style template for each forum category simply to make the metatags different for each forum. Now it would be easier if I could make a variable for each category to contain the different keywords. Then I can use that variable in showthread so each thread contains the different keywords. See what I mean? Hope someone can help! |

Don't worry. I should try looking first! Used the Replacement Variable Manager. |

I personally use if statements to have real specific descriptions and firstwords for specific forums. Or I will have a new child style for a forum, then have 'if' statements for thread numbers within that forum. But the generic statements work for the majority of the time. I would just love to hack the packae so that you could have unique meta descriptions and firstwords for each thread as an option. Or choose the default one. |
