Default SEO vBulletin

The mission is to SEO vBulletin and preach to the world that you can SEO vBulletin and every other website. It is possible to get high on the search engines, but it has been a lot of work to SEO vBulletin, and it is a continuing effort. While the principles of SEO are very basic, to integrate theses into an existing programmed website requires many analytical and programming skills as well as plain Jane SEO.

So what is wrong with the current versions of vBulletin? Why should each one of us have to apply hacks to SEO vBulletin. It should be an out of the box solution.
  • Multiple URL's for each post and thread.
  • titles of pages around the wrong way
  • archive showing yet another version of the thread
  • meta descriptions and meta keywords not unique for every page
  • low keyword density for your key phrases - especially forum pages (showforum.php?f=)
  • ....
I have a full discussion on how to SEO vBulletin, on my main thread "Search Engine Optimize vBulletin" that has had over 18000 page views.

I would like to rewrite the url's but the hacks I have seen so far have in my opinion not been well done. If anyone has urls of what they consider are good url rewrite hacks, please make a post on the main thread.
