Would rate this about a 2 out of 10, and only because the staff were really friendly. Apart from that, we had a 45 minute wait for a table, and a 45 minute wait to get our meals. When they finally arrived, they were huge and over-priced. My meal came about 5 minutes before my partners, and they tasted so bland I could have done better with a heat up meal. They had obviously run out of fries but didn't tell us that and instead gave us a plate full of potatoes - it would have been nice to be informed as that was half the reason we chose the meals! The only thing that saved us was the 2 for 1 voucher we had. Would never go there again unfortunately.

I have to say that I disagree strongly with the previous post on this restaurant. I had discovered this great website after I had been to lonestar, on the advice of a flatmate, and I was really surprised to see that it got such a crap review.

When I first arrived in Taka, we went to lonestar on a Friday afternoon, and were promptly seated. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and made us at ease straight away. The only fault I had with the staff was the white trash attire that seems to be their uniform (yikes!), the waitress was wearing jean type hotpants, wrong job love..ha!ha!

The food was pretty expensive, but when we saw the portions our jaws nearly dropped. Massive!! And I enjoyed ever finger licking moment, the honey-ribs are to die for, one of the nicest meals I've had and really worth the money. I have been there 3 times since, trying something different each time, and have loved it every time. Its been a safe bet if we have relatives over from abroad, and want to be guaranteed a good meal.

I agree with the previous poster on the wait for the tables, its a pain if you have a schedule, and you can't book thats the trouble. The service can also be slow if its busy, but the quality and portions cannot be faulted. Big thumbs up!!
