We struggled to find something open over the holidays in Wellington, till we found one red dog this evening and I am SO glad we did

Entrees: Marinated kalamata olives, Peanut Dukkah, Chicken liver pate.

Olives were really nice, Dukkah SO good and Hubby went on and on about the pate. I don't eat offal so I didn't try it.

Mains: Smoked chicken salad with lime and orange dressing. Yum.
Venison pepperoni, spinach and redcurrant pizza. OH MY YUM.
Kiddies Pasta. Good size, Daughter wolfed it down.

Beverages/Coffee: Passable to good. Latte was a too milky though, but liquer coffee was great. House 'hogs' beers are great. The wheat is my favourite.

Dessert: we skipped but Daughter had a kiddies banana split, which was a good sized, tasted good and very well presented.

Staff: To be honest two of the wait staff were surly. The others were fine though. Service was prompt until they shut the doors (we were sitting outside) when they forgot about us. Fortunatly my husband isn't averse to summoning staff through the glass, so we didn't wait too long.
Very kid friendly.

If the staff were all pleasant they would have received an outstanding.
