I just did a google search about Kazu, which is how I found this forum. I'm from the USA, and I'm currently trying to become a NZ citizen after I ventured here for an 8 day vacation. That began Jan 1, so I'm here for the long haul hopefully.

I used to eat at a place in Winter Park Florida called Seito Sushi nearly every day for years, quite literally. I knew all the chefs by name and they'd make me custom rolls. I found Kazu to be fantastic in every respect and their food is of a very high caliber. I wish I spoke Japanese so I could have ordered my old favorite roll that Seito chef's made for me: unagi, cream cheese, avacado, scallions and then the whole maki is panko deep fried.

I hope there are more good places like Kazu for me to discover in Wellington!

Wow - you fell in love with our country after only 8 days. How about that for an advertisement for New Zealand.

I love being here too, yes I was born here, but the scenery, livestyle and people all make it a place I like being part of.

It is flattering for Kazu that you compare them to a place the you have loved and frequented for many years. I hope that you find many other restaurants and other places that you can enjoy, make friends and fit right in to what New Zealand has to offer.
