I have been a big fan of Rise from before its opening.

The staff of Rise used to work across the road at Revive in Woodward Street. Always enjoyed going there until I noticed the staff changed and the overall feel of Revive went downhill.

Rise always makes me feel welcome. The food is fantastic - highly recommend the Soy and Coriander Chicken (not on the menu at the moment), the Beef Udon, and the spectacular Bruschetta.

They seem to have just the right mix of people working there, and they put out really good vibes. The service is sometimes a little slow - but that is only because of the number of people there. If you go "off peak", the speed of service is fine.

I have also had Nicci and the crew cater for a morning tea I held at my work, and was more than impressed with the results.

I have often gone to Rise feeling pretty crappy, but always walk out feeling really good.

I honestly cannot say enough about the team and the food. Some of my colleagues who have gone there on my recommendation don't seem to like it. Fair enough - everyone's taste is different. But many of these people aren't really into truly good food.
