I lived on the sailboat "Columbia" that was moored in the Town Basin of Whangarei for three months (and 10 more days when the prop came loose on the day before we were leaving). I ate many, many meals at Reva's and I never had one that was not excellent. Reva and Doug Meredith were both wonderful hosts. I hope that they are both well and enjoying prosperity. If you are in their establishment, I hope you will convey my rememberance to them.

Thanks for your review Bob. And posting all the way from Texas. Glad to hear that you liked NZ enough to stay the 3+ months. I have certainly loved Whangarei, especially the heads, when I have holidayed there.

I have dined at Revas on a few occasions. Although the food is delicious, the service was very very slow and the prices are a little dear. The service from the staff is not very good either.

They either did not listen to you, were too busy looking around at others or did not bring the specials blackboard over. Once you had your meal, they did not come back and ask if you wanted any other drinks etc, or how the meal was.

I would not rush back to dine at Revas.
