I booked a week in advance at split restaurant only to find they had put us at a square table only big enough for four not five so someone had to sit on a corner which was no good and the chair could not go in as the table leg was in the way. No explanation was given. I ordered the chicken brest wrapped in Bacon that had some kind of a sauce inside I could not make out what it was as it had no taste. The dish was small and could have done with some vegtables around the outside or a salad. Someone at my table had ordered a Burger and it looked like one I could make at home, but I would have made sure my meat paddy was cooked all the way through. Desert was cooked cheese cake which the base looked like it was uncooked dough. I won't be running back there anytime soon.
The good think about it was the way they have changed it from G and T. The decor is a lot better. Waiter was friendly and they did ask how our meal was. I think if a owner really wants to know how the meals are going hes not going to find out by asking at the table as people don't want to make a sceen. Now if there was a form to write on and drop it into a box for comments then he may get somewhere. Sorry Split I rate you a 2 out of 5.
