I think this place is overrated as the best restaurant in Whitianga. No question, the setting is great (if you can get an outside table). The food is average, some good points to it, but overall what was delivered on the plates didn't go very well together. However, throughout the whole meal we could see into the open kitchen, and there is no questions that at least one of the sous-chefs is absolutely passionate about food.
